The Bristol sky went blue Saturday night with a community showing their tribute to Sgt. Alex Hamzy and Lt. Dustin DeMonte who lost their lives in the line of duty one month ago to the day.
The Bristol Mayor and a number of civic organizations put out the word to light everything in blue on the 12th and once again the town showed the true meaning of the word “community”.
Residents used blue light bulbs and Christmas lights, Town Halls, City Buildings and business’ did the same and on Saturday night the entire town seemed to glow blue.
And the message was recieved as the BPD posted on their social media accounts, “THANK YOU Bristol Community!” The outpouring of support you have shown over the past four weeks has been amazing. Much appreciation to all those who sold, bought and displayed blue lights ! This has brought a smile to our faces, so THANK YOU.
