93 year old Alfred Daniels (originally from Watertown, MA) now lives in Simsbury and has brought his neighborhood together simply by hanging out at the end of his driveway and offering up a friendly wave to passersby.
After moving to Simsbury in December to be near family he wanted to bring the feel of his Watertown MA neighborhood where people sit outside their houses and talk about anything and everything with the neighbors.
In late March Alfred set up his perch at the end of his driveaway and quickly made new friends. He typically starts his day around 10AM sitting for about 30 to 60 minutes. Or according to his great grandaughter all day.
He'll chat with anyone about the neighborhood or just nothing in particular. Simsbury Police often stop by to check in and so do so many of the neighbors proving you can make new friends at any age!
