Boudreau brothers, Christian and Gavin are two brothers from Avon who founded the Christian’s Music for Minors a charity that gives refurbished musical instruments to Connecticut children. The brothers take in all kinds of used and broken instruments from Cellos to hand bells, they repair them and then make them available for kids in our state who simply want to play music. And there is no financial burden of proof to get an instrument — just a paragraph from the child on what impact music has had or will have on them.
The brothers get the word out through social media accounts, word of mouth and by doing presentations at local schools and it’s working as demand has steadily grown. They just hope that the future holds some additional funding from outside sources so they can keep up with the demand. Gavin said “The feeling of giving back is far beyond good, it’s simply amazing.” If you have an old instrument or a little cash to give get the scoop here.
