Do you drink from a reusable, plastic water bottle? You might want to rethink the plastic part. A new report says that chemicals from the plastic leak into the water if you leave it sitting there overnight. Even more so with soft, plastic water bottles, well the reusable ones anyway. Researchers at the University of Copenhagen found hundreds of substances, including "photo-initiators", which can cause hormone problems and can possibly cause cancer. AND if you put said water bottle through the dishwasher first, it brings out even MORE chemicals! Experts say the heat wears down the plastic and lets more chemicals leak out of the plastic and into the water inside. They recommend a stainless steel bottle instead.
