Someone did the right thing, dropping about 36 ducks and chickens off at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford. And while this person saved them and the shelter is taking care of them, they really need a better home. The shelter says most of the animals appear young and are mostly females as far as they can tell. Obviously you can't just take chickens and ducks so if you have space, already have a coop or some ducks and would like more or can help these animals in any way, call the shelter at (203) 315-4125.
