Some people are obviously obsessed with pizza. Gerry Durnell is such a person. He was the publisher of Pizza Today magazine back in 1984 when he came up with the idea for National Pizza Day. His thought was to celebrate the day by eating various types of pizza or going to various pizza places for "a slice". Other things you can do: visit your fave pizza place, make pizza at home, make sure to post about National Pizza Day on your social media! Maybe even include a recipe or your fave place and/or fave toppings. Let's face it, even bad pizza isn't THAT bad!
