A source close to Stefani says Shelton asked her three sons, 14-year-old Kingston, 12-year-old Zuma and six-year-old Apollo, before popping the question.
Her family "very much approves of him." Shelton had the ring custom-designed and the proposal was a surprise.
The two had met in 2015 while working together on The Voice.
They officially announced their engagement in an Instagram post on October 27th.
