WWII Vet Checks Skydiving Off Bucket List At Age 102!

A World War II veteran has just accomplished something she’s always wanted to try: skydiving. Vivian “Millie” Bailey was filming an episode of the series “Honor Flight Heroes” about her life when they asked her if there was one thing left she wants to do, but hasn’t had the chance yet. “You’re not going to believe it,” she said. “The thing I’d like to do is parachute jump like President Bush did.”

Millie explains that seeing PresidentGeorge H.W. Bush take the leap at age 90 inspired her and realizing that someone could do the jump at that age made her want to try. So with friends and family standing by to cheer her on and the cameras rolling for the TV show, she was finally able to cross this item off her bucket list.

“It was wonderful, a real thrill,” Millie said once she was back on the ground. But when her instructor asked if she’d like to skydive again, she laughed and said, “Just once is enough!”
