An observant little boy helped rescue a neighbor who had been trapped inside her basement for more than three days. Police in New Hampshire say the attentive three-year-old was walking with his mom and wanted to put his neighbor’s newspaper on her porch. When he did, he noticed several papers were already there and told his mom he was worried about the woman.
Officers with the Hampton Police Department were able to get inside her home and found her stuck inside a small corridor down in her basement. She was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries, but police say she’s in good spirits. They thank the boy for being observant and encourage the public to stay in contact with the elderly and vulnerable family members and friends.
