Will Smith is backing a re-invented "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" is by far a show that defined a generation. We all did "The Carlton" and remember iconic moments from the show and can easily rap the entire opening theme song. Well Will Smith, who played Will on the show, is now the executive producer of the new Peacock show "Bel-Air", airing on February 13th. This show is a bit different. The premise is the same but THIS one is a drama, with conflict, guns, jail, college, no laughs really, but lessons still present. Here's how the streaming service describes the show: “Set in modern-day America, Peacock’s new one-hour drama seriesBel-Airimagines the beloved sitcomThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Airthrough a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.”
