Today we spoke with the CEO of HAI Group, Ed Malaspina, about what this event of remembrance means to him and why it is important for everyone to always remember 9/11. Ed says that the farther away we get from that day, the more we forget but we should never forget and that is what led him to hosting this event.
We also spoke with Dr. Reggie Freeman, Chief Risk Officer for the HAI Group and former Fire Chief of Hartford and Oakland. Dr. Freeman talked about what it is like being a member of law enforcement and how rewarding it is to help others in any tragedy.
Finally, we spoke with Scott Bertrand, Chairman of the Board for HAI Group, Executive Director of the Enfield Housing Authority, and Captain of the North Thompson Fire Department. Scott recalls where he was on September 11th, 2001 and talks about what it means to be a first responder.
