This weekend its all about DAD!!! There are Father’s Day events across the state! This weekend we also get ready for Juneteenth events in towns across the date for the long weekend as many have Monday off to commemorate June 19, 1865, when it was announced to enslaved African Americans in Texas they were free. A century and a half later, people across the U.S. continue to celebrate the day, which is now a federal holiday. AND it’s the first official weekend of SUMMER! Be sure to follow my blog or FB & IG for events!

One movie I’m highlighting is a family friendly movie that the kids can take dad to… Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental,” an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. It’s expected to be a hit – but will it be strong enough to battle a Transformer, a Mermaid or SPIDERMAN? Take a look!
