Weekends in Connecticut

Weekends in Connecticut as we stop and say THANK YOU to our Veteran's there are many events you can attend to show your support. The Holidays are here too with events and even movies too!

FIRST – I need to send my love and support to my partner Sgt Nikki M at the Hartford PD – I have been advised by my doctors that I cannot jump for 24 hours in the ocean this weekend and I’m devastated. I don’t like to cancel – but she is doing it so please send your support to Team Shock & Thaw – CLICK HERE TO SUPPORT THE TEAM

This weekend is Veteran’s Day Weekend. Be sure to thank a Veteran and their family for their service. There are also many parades and runs and walks to honor our Veterans this weekend, you can follow my social media for more details AND CLICK HERE TOO.

There are many events to support our Veterans this weekend like the one  at Shepard Meadows in Bristol. Veterans and their families are invited to the farm for their annual veteran's open house. Tour the farm, visit the staff and horses and learn about our veteran's programs. No fee! Happening on Saturday, November 12th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm! Shepard Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center is located at 733 Hill Street, Bristol, CT

In honor of Veterans Day, and a way to “Thank You” for your service, all Veterans and active-duty military personnel can visit the Connecticut Science Center  for FREE and pay kids’ price for your accompanying family this Veteran’s Day Weekend. Enjoy a day of exploring four floors of family fun with more than 165 exhibits, LIVE Science demonstration and so much more.

The Connecticut Auto Show is the perfect place to browse hundreds of the newest vehicles! It’s the premier showcase of the newest model year imported and domestic vehicles — cars, vans, crossovers, hybrids, light trucks, and sport utilities – cars to suit every budget and lifestyle. Its happening at Mohegan Sun, Veteran’s and active military free with ID.

This is it, The Grand Finale of Cheshire's Lights of Hope. Since 2005, Cheshire's neighbors have turned to each other to raise money for local charities, raising more than $1,085,000. The now-annual Cheshire's Lights of Hope event has brought together neighbors to help neighbors all with the simple act of lighting a single candle in a bag and illuminating our wonderful town. Upwards of 100 volunteers turn out every year to bring the event to fruition. From street captains to cleanup crew, the town has made this event its own and has helped hundreds of area families. This year will be the final Cheshire's Lights of Hope event and will be held on Saturday, November 12. We are working hard to go out big! For the details visit : cheshirelightsofhope.com
