Dream Ride Experience 2022

Listen to my interview with Jamie Hughes of Dream Ride about the 2022 experience!

The 2022 Dream Ride Experience will take over the Farmington Polo Club from Friday, August 26 to Sunday, Aug. 28 as The Hometown Foundation’s signature fundraising event aims to promote inclusivity, celebrate the accomplishments of our Dream Riders, and provide a fun-filled event for the entire community.

The Dream Ride Experience has grown from its humble roots as a 12-person motorcycle ride in 2002 to a three-day extravaganza and a year-round movement #DreamRide365 – all in honor of our Dream Riders, who are individuals with intellectual disabilities or in need. Dream Riders not only enjoy all of the activities Dream Ride has to offer, but participate in Unified Sports and the Dream Cruise where they are paired up with auto enthusiasts who open the doors of their exotic or classic cars for a 12-mile scenic drive through the Farmington Valley before returning to a red-carpet entrance and celebration.

The community is invited to join us for the weekend in this unique experience where guests can enjoy food trucks, live entertainment and music, the Paws for a Cause pet adoption expo, police K9 Challenge and demonstration, Firefighter Chili Cook-Off, raffles, vendors, a family fun zone, and more. In addition to the cars that participate in the Dream Cruise on Saturday, the Dream Show brings one of the area’s most impressive car shows, drawing cars from all over the world.

Going back to its roots, The Dream Ride Experience still has a motorcycle ride, only now it draws thousands of bikes from all over the country. Motorcyclists converge on the Farmington Polo Club Grounds for the Dream Ride on Sunday to embark on a 40-mile police-escorted ride through the Connecticut countryside.

Tickets are now available here. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are available. You also have the opportunity to sponsor a Dream Rider to give them this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Volunteer applications are also being accepted. For information, call 203-250-5661. All proceeds from The Dream Ride Experience benefit The Hometown Foundation.
