Who is a black, white and polka dotted doggie looking for a forever home? Why, that would be Harly, a shy, 8 year old, 38 pound Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix from Oklahoma, who is looking for a fresh start and a family to call his own. Harly is a shy guy. He does enjoy spending quality time with children and dogs, perhaps walking and exploring, or hanging around the house and yard for a simple game.
Since Harly is a senior dog, short bouts of exercise and fun will be enough for him before he snuggles up for a belly rub and a nap. Whether he enjoys hanging around with cats is not known. Patience is a must for Harley. He will need a gentle and patient owner that will be able to give him space and time to find his confidence. Eventually, Harley will learn to trust and grow into a thriving and confident companion he was meant to be. His house, leash and crate training are all in process. He will benefit greatly by joining a new family who will be patient, kind and gentle as he transitions from rescue to a new forever home and friends.
It is important to remember that every rescue dog, whatever their level of training and education, can have accidents while adjusting to a new home environment. So, if you have a tender heart, open arms and appreciation for a senior dog who will be grateful for everything you do for him, Harly is the dog for you.
