Maddie & Tae reminisced on some of their favorite gifts they’ve given each other over the years.
Maddie Font said in a clip shared on TikTok that she has “multiple favorite gifts” from her best friend and longtime duo partner, Taylor Kerr. Her favorite, she said, is a homemade “farmhouse” sign that Kerr and her father made when Font hand her husband bought their first house. Kerr also made a few Christmas ornaments for her fellow Maddie & Tae star. Font hailed Kerr “the queen of thoughtful gifts.”
Kerr said “Maddie went all out for my 30th [birthday],” and shared that her favorite gift was “a Soul Sister date, and she treated me to dinner and the Jonas Brothers concert. And we had so much freaking fun.”
Font and Kerr, both 30, recently announced they will no longer move forward as a duo. Font will continue with a solo career in music, and Kerr opted to focus on her family. She and husband Josh Kerr are parents to daughter Leighton Grace, who turns 4 next month, and son Chapel Shields, who celebrated his first birthday in October. Font and husband Jonah Font share son Forrest Henry, who turned 2 in September.
However, both artists declined to call it a “breakup.” They said in an interview with PEOPLE that “we’re still walking and doing life together,” and will always remain friends. They later shared on Instagram, “we are so excited to make our last couple of shows as magical as possible with yall 🥹 it’s truly means the world how much love yall have showered us in this week and all the encouragement as we start a brand new chapter. We will go through this heartbreak together like we always do hunnies 😂🤍🤟🏼”
