Carly Pearce is “not okay” after a recent show with one of the music industry’s fastest-rising megastars. The “We Don’t Fight Anymore” songstress posted a photo with reigning CMA New Male Artist of the Year winner Jelly Roll as she spoke about the show unlike any other she’d played.
Pearce also might be trying to manifest a collaboration.
“I. Am. Not. Okay. Yall…. I have played so many shows over the last 7 years, but none like tonight,” Pearce said as she shared the photo on Instagram on Thursday evening (November 30). She said of the Whitsitt Chapel artist: “This human is obviously taking country music by storm, but to know him is to love him. I have never met someone with more of a purpose than you [Jelly Roll].
“I feel inspired by the power of music and by the power of the underdog. Unbelievably proud of what Jelly is doing & feel so honored to have witnessed the impact tonight. If you ever need your next duet partner, CALL ME 😍❤️”
Some of Pearce’s Instagram followers embraced the idea of a collaboration between Pearce and Jelly Roll, and if that happens, it might not be the first tie Pearce has manifested a duet with another powerhouse artist. She tweeted in April 2022 to Chris Stapleton, hoping to be his next duet partner. Earlier this year, she revealed that the fellow Kentucky-born singer-songwriter joined her on her heartache duet, “We Don’t Fight Anymore.” Jelly Roll might have his own share of luck with manifestation. He wrote in a tweet last year that although he wasn’t nominated in 2023, he’d “like to speak into existence” that he and his family would be in L.A. celebrating his Grammy Award nomination the following year. Last month, Jelly Roll shared his emotional reaction as he learned he’d received a nomination in the Best New Artist category at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
