Luke Bryan takes a moment to reflect on and cherish “simple times” in the latest anthem to release as he readies his forthcoming album. The award-winning country giant released the song that pays tribute to picture-perfect, slower moments to kick off the weekend on Friday (August 11).
“Southern and Slow” marks the third track to release from Bryan’s next chapter of music, following his most recent single, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand.” Bryan’s newest anthem was written by Matt Dragstrem, Josh Thompson and Chase McGill and co-produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens, per his record label.
“‘Southern and Slow’ reflects on simple times,” Bryan said in a statement. “Those picture-perfect moments like the sun setting behind a water tower, honey dripping off a spoon, well, it doesn’t get much countrier than that. Let’s slow it down southern style because this life seems to be moving faster than ever.”
Bryan is no stranger to life moving quickly. He’s in the midst of his ongoing “Country On Tour,” with six stops planned on his annual “Farm Tour” next month. The “That’s My Kind Of Night” star also announced the final dates of his Las Vegas Residency, hosted at the Resorts World Theatre. Bryan’s last shows of the residency are set for early January, before he’s set to return to Mexico for his annual Crash My Playa festival.
