Jason Aldean returned to the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut on Sunday, July 30th for a rescheduled 'Highway Desperado' tour stop after he became suddenly ill on stage during the original concert date on Saturday, July 15. Attendees of the show were left in the dark for several minutes as he quickly ran off stage midway during the performance of "Crazy Town".
His representatives released the cause of his illness as heat exhaustion due to the extreme heat throughout the state that day. The country artist honored his commitment to fans and returned to the Connecticut stage to play out his full music set -- including, a song whose video has come under fire: "Try That in a Small Town".
Ahead of Sunday, local news outlets warned of potential riots and demonstrations before the concert due to the controversial nature of the music video, however, no riots or demonstrations were observed at the venue. Hartford Police did increase their staffing to ensure a safe experience by all.
Aldean addressed once more that the weather in Connecticut is supposed to be cooler than his native Georgia and Florida. He then continued into his explanation in regards to the medical condition he suffered which led to the abrupt stop of the concert two weeks ago.
"I don't think I had a damn heat stroke. Honestly, I don't know. I don't know what happened. I've never felt like that on stage before. I just knew I felt like I was going to pass out I couldn't tell you guys a reason. My bad, alright? My bad for that but we did want to make sure we did get back here as soon as possible so that's why we're back two weeks later to see you guys."
