Family’s Search For Son Abducted 24 Years Ago Ends In A Reunion!

A family has been reunited with their son who was abducted as a toddler 24 years ago. Back in 1997, two-year-old Guo Xinzhen was kidnapped near his home by an unknown woman, according to his parents. Police collected blood, DNA samples and other evidence, but didn’t find him and the case remained unsolved, but it was never closed.

Guo’s father, Guo Gangtang, never stopped looking for him either. He used all his savings to search all over China, riding a motorcycle more than 310-thousand miles across the country. He burned through 10 motorcycles in his search. His dedication to finding his son even inspired a movie, “Lost and Love.” And while he didn’t find his son, he did help find more than 100 other abducted kids and reunite them with their families.

And this week, decades after his disappearance, the search for Guo finally ended. Authorities got a new lead and using DNA testing and facial recognition technology, they found Guo. Police also arrested two people who confessed to kidnapping him and selling him. The family had an emotional reunion with their now-adult son and a video shows them in tears, embracing and shouting, “We found you, you’ve come back.”
