Dog Groomer’s Quick Thinking Helps Save Pet Owner’s Life

When a regular customer didn’t make it back to pick up their dog, a PetSmart groomer in Omaha, Nebraska, knew something was wrong. The pet owner didn’t mention anything when he dropped his dog off, so the groomer tried to contact him, but had no luck.

That’s when PetSmart called Animal Control Officer Kisha Witherspoonand shared their concerns, so she sent Investigator Misty Binauto the home to check up on the pet owner. When he didn’t answer, Binau called the police.

Officers went inside and found the pet owner “lying in distress in his apartment after suffering a medical episode.” The police were able to get him the medical attention he needs, all thanks to the pet groomer going above and beyond.
