Couple Surprises Firefighters With A Turkey Dinner!

Thanksgiving came early for fire stations in Shreveport, Louisiana, over the weekend. Alexis and Cody Parsley surprised firefighters by making and delivering turkey dinners and all the trimmings to stations in the area to show their appreciation for the firefighters’ hard work.

The couple spent 11 hours on Friday cooking with family and friends and then drove around dropping off the goods on Saturday. They brought smoked turkeys, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, rolls, pumpkin pie and brownies as a thank you to the firefighters. And their donations will save the fire stations from having to use their house funds to pay for the holiday meal.

“Thank you, guys, from the bottom of our hearts, it really means a lot,” says firefighter Allen Smith. “There is so much going on in the world right now that ...Nobody wants to hear about it, it's bad. Just to know we have people out there like that, keeps our hopes up. Thank you.”
