After COVID Keep Them Apart, Couple Reunites For 74th Anniversary

An Indiana couple who have been married since 1946 have been apart for months because of COVID-19 restrictions. Myron and Phyllis Rockhill are getting ready to celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary on August 4th and they finally got to see each other again thanks to a special reunion arranged by the Riverwalk Village assisted living facility where he lives.

Myron has dementia, but when he saw his wife for the first time in months, his face lit up. His memory loss may make things confusing at times, but he knows exactly who Phyllis is. “I’m happy with her,” he says.

The couple is happy to get to be together and soak up the moments they have left. “He is my life and my love,” Phyllis says.
