A TikToker is going viral for surprising a server with a big tip she put together with help from her 228-thousand followers. Lexy Kadey shared a video of her handing a lucky waitress at the Cheesecake Factory in Baltimore, Maryland, a $628 tip. The thankful server later revealed she has a daughter and is expecting another baby, so the extra money is very much appreciated.
And it turns out, this isn’t the first time Kadey has raised money to tip big. This was her most recent “Venmo challenge,” where she asked her followers to chip in 50-cents to help her crowdsource gratuities for servers. In the first round, she was able to raise an impressive $3,021, which she split between three servers. She’s currently doing her fifth round of crowdsourcing, which ends on July 10th.
“Times are crazy right now, but you guys have given me so much hope and it literally makes me want to tear up,” Kadey told her followers after the initial fundraiser.
