Woman's Gut Feeling Saves Young Hiker From Certain Death

Nancy says it was her 'motherly instinct' that wouldn't let up, after she met Katharina on the Pacific Crest Trail.

She tried to talk Katharina out of continuing by herself, as she was familiar with that part of the trail and knew it could be treacherous..

But the young woman insisted she would be fine.  Nancy couldn't sleep and was worried, so she contacted authorities.

And it's a good thing she did!
