Here are the 10 bridges in Hartford County that received the lowest scores in TRIP’s report:

  1. Bloomfield: Route 189 over Wash Brook; built in 1916; average daily traffic is 9,800
  2. South Windsor: Main Street over Podunk River; built in 1907; average daily traffic is 1,510
  3. Bloomfield: Route 178 over Beaman Brook; built in 1915; average daily traffic is 12,000
  4. Bristol: Mellen Street over Pequabuck River; built in 1956; average daily traffic is 2,920
  5. Southington: Spring Street over Quinnipiac River; built in 1960; average daily traffic is 3,866
  6. Hartford: I-84 over Market Street and over I-91 northbound; built in 1961; average daily traffic is 125,700
  7. Hartford: I-84 eastbound over Amtrak, local roads, parking; built in 1965; average daily traffic is 66,450
  8. Hartford: I-91 northbound over Park River and Connecticut Southern Railroad; built in 1964; average daily traffic is 48,200
  9. New Britain: State Route 555 (West Main Street) over Pan Am Southern Railroad; built in 1930; average daily traffic is 10,600
  10. West Hartford: North Main Street over Trout Brook (West Branch); built in 1901; average daily traffic is 10,280
