No More Candy Hearts? Necco Plant Closes Unexpectedly!

Say it ain't so! 

The company that makes Necco Wafers and Sweethearts has shut down their plant in Revere, Massachusetts.

There's no word on if or when candy production will resume..

Round Hill Investments LLC bought out Necco back in May at a bankruptcy auction.

The New England Confectionery Co. (Necco) is the country's oldest continuously operating candy company, opening in 1847.
