Cary was in the right place at the right time, as he saw a baby goose struggling in the water.
Believing the gosling was caught in a net, he floated out in his inflatable unicorn to help, and got a little more than he bargained for!
The bird was caught in the jaws of a snapping turtle, so he brought both to shore and the goose was released.
As you can see below, he had to clarify some things to the many Twitter critics.. one being, he didn't know it was a turtle, he thought it was something man-made, two, he didn't want to leave a struggling animal with kids watching, and three, his family was laughing at the sight of him on an inflatable unicorn, and NOT at the struggling goose.
The internet is a scary, scary place sometimes..

I went out to help an animal that appeared to be caught in a man made object...— Cary Coppola (@carycoppola) June 10, 2018
When I got there, it was news to me that it was a meal. That is why I yelled to the shore, “what am I am supposed to do now?” The decision was made at that instant to help because I was already out there...— Cary Coppola (@carycoppola) June 10, 2018

It’s been a fun ride to say the least. Mostly, I’ve learned a few things from the goose, the turtle, and the unicorn...
