DEEP Needs Your Help Counting Connecticut Turkeys

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection wants to keep track of Connecticut's wild turkeys this summer, so if you see one, report it, but only the moms and babies. Toms (like the famous Kevin from Wethersfield in the videos below) are not being included.

If you're not sure of the difference between a male and a female wild turkey, the males are larger and darker, and have bright red heads.

Could be fun for the kids to get involved, it'll keep them busy and doesn't cost much more than a stamp, or just email your info to DEEP.
