The principal's office of Bristol Central High School sent out a tweet explaining the school was evacuated and classes were dismissed for the day due to a bomb threat written on a desk. The threat claims a bomb will go off today, Tuesday, May 27th at 10:45am:
A written message was found on a desk claiming a bomb would go off on 5/27 at 10:46. Students were promptly evacuated. More to follow.— Pete Wininger (@BCHSprincipal) May 27, 2014
Police are investigating the threat and do not believe any other schools are affected.
The principal followed up his initial tweet with:
Building is empty and all students are safe. Instructions to follow.— Pete Wininger (@BCHSprincipal) May 27, 2014
